Surveys are easy to create and host on the Innovative Leaders Network. These surveys can play a variety of roles in your community. Below are four ways you may want to use surveys for your community.
Meeting members needs
Community members enjoy responding to surveys that ask about their needs, concerns and questions. This allows you as the community manager to make adjustments to personalize the community to fit the group.

Encouraging discussion
Community members engaged in an exciting discussion may want to survey others in the community to take the community's pulse about a specific topic. Posting a survey (and its results) about a discussion can inject new life into that discussion. As community members have an opportunity to voice their opinions (and read others), they will want to return to the discussion again.

Determining topics of interest
Asking about new topics that community members would like to see addressed in upcoming discussions is a great use for surveys. This type of survey can substantially increase members' feelings of ownership in the community if the results lead to member-suggested discussions being created.

Getting feedback about a particular idea or topic
Members may be trying new ideas out in their schools and can survey members of the community to get feedback or opinions about the program or ideas.
